The situation
The Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council is the oldest chapter of the National Minority Supplier Development Council. The platform its website ran on was shutting down, so CMSDC needed a new site on an extremely tight timeline. As part of a national network, it also had network requirements the new site had to meet.
What we did
After a competitive bidding process, we redesigned and rebuilt the site from scratch. We reviewed the old site and the new requirements, upgraded the underlying technology, moved the site to HTTPS so CMSDC could qualify for Google Ad Grants, integrated it with the network's existing systems, and trained CMSDC's staff to manage it.
Results
The new site launched on September 24, 2021, less than a month and a half after we started and ahead of the old platform's shutdown.
