Friends of Big Bear Valley

Friends of Big Bear Valley is an environmental education nonprofit dedicated to protecting Big Bear Valley, the 15-mile-long valley inside the San Bernardino National Forest that the group describes as one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems in the country. In 2015, it worked with the U.S. Forest Service to design and install the Big Bear Bald Eagle nest cam, whose livestreams of Jackie and Shadow have drawn viewers from around the world to the wildlife of our mountains. It recently raised $10 million to protect Moon Camp, habitat near the eagles’ nest, from development.

We donated a homepage redesign concept to Friends of Big Bear Valley, designed by our Web & Graphics Designer, Val Barcial. It was our thank-you to a mountain neighbor whose work has turned the whole world’s attention to the wildlife of the San Bernardino Mountains.
